What is the scariest story you’ve ever heard? I’ll tell you one of mine “there is a leak in the house”. Yes, this is the most horrifying story ever for me and I believe for many of us too. Every time there is rain, dripping pipe or leak we start worrying about our resources. Smartphones are considered our best friends and they are always there to help to solve our problems. We can now install apps that can tell us whenever there’s a leak in the house. Apart from this, you can also take preventive measures such as basement waterproofing, sump pump installation, drain inspection, and repair, etc. to make sure your house doesn’t witness a leak. Below are the few apps that you can install on your smartphones to detect the leak in your house and you can save a lot of time and stop yourself from getting a headache.

Smart Things

Smart Things is a lifestyle app by Samsung which alerts you if there is moisture under your sink, toilet or even in your basement. It works perfectly fine with Samsung Smart Things Wireless Water Leak Sensor and is also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant. You can download the app on IOS and Android both.

Mydlink

This app too is provided by a well-known brand D Link. The app is compatible with mydlink Wi-Fi Smart Water Sensor. As soon as the sensor detects leak or flood, it will trigger an alarm and you’ll get a notification on your smartphone. The app is compatible with Android and IOS both but it does not support Alexa or Google Assistant.

Honeywell Home (Lyric)

This app comes from the house of Honeywell and is compatible with Honeywell wireless leak and freeze detector. The device is Bluetooth enabled and can be mounted on any wall or floor near the water source. The app notifies you about the water leak or freezing temperatures are detected. You can download this app from IOS and Android both.

Ring App

An app by Ring Alarm compatible with their flood and freeze sensor works perfectly as fine as the above apps. When there is a hint of appliance malfunction or a leak this app will send you an instant push notification.

SkylinkNet

SkylinkNet will send you a push notification when any of the water leak sensors are activated, an internet hub is required in order to monitor the water leak and is compatible with Skylink’s wireless water leak sensor. Available on IOS and Android both.

There are certain kits, hubs or receivers that are required to set up along with the above apps and devices. Please go through the complete details before placing an order.
